The Earth Day celebration for children of local schools was organized by ecorec Cesko in collaboration with Holcim Cesko and a local eco centre “Paleta“, on 21 April 2010. Like previous years, the event was held in the premises of the Prachovice cement plant and ecorec pre-treatment plant, and was attended by more than 130 school children from seven primary schools in the surroundings of Prachovice village.
The children enjoyed the rich programme with many games and contests. They could try how to make decorative items from recycled materials or how to plant a tree. They also played games focused on waste sorting. The tour of cement plant and facilities for alternative fuels production was part of the programme too.
