Situation
The main focus of business activities of REMAT Zrt. is material recovery. The company offers its service in production of plastic re-granules and is considered the biggest plastic recoverer in Hungary. REMAT Zrt. located in Tiszaújváros, 30 km from Miskolc, is a professional provider of ecological and environmentally friendly solutions for its business customers.
Challenge
Portfolio of customers of REMAT Zrt. consists mainly of plastic production companies. The company ensures treatment and recovery of waste plastic coming from their business activity. The challenge for REMAT Zrt. is the residue from the plastic recovery, especially the residue after the washing of plastic. This material is not suitable for material recovery any more and that is why the next ecologically appropriate solution had to be introduced.
Solution
ecorec respects the waste hierarchy according to which material recovery represents more environmental solution for waste plastic material. ecorec dispose of only the material that is not suitable for any other more ecological solution. In the case of REMAT Zrt. it is not possible to use residues from the plastic material recovery in the processes of the company. That is why ecorec offered the next possible and sustainable solution – energy recovery. The logistics solution by walking floor trucks has been also organized for the customer according to defined needs.
